In early December, Auckland Plumbers Group (APG) sponsored the 10th hole at Howick Golf Club in the annual Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club golf day.
Seen here between APG directors Andrew Durrans and John Hurcombe (left and right ends of the lineup respectively) was our 3rd team member, Nigel Scott. Nigel has been part of the organising group for the event since its inception 6 years ago and had this to say about the day…
“The Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club would like thank Auckland Plumbers Group very sincerely for their support of this fundraising golf day. These sort of days can’t function without the generosity of such support. We are a community club attempting to strengthen our finances after having to rebuild our pavilion following an arson fire attack a number of years ago. I am very pleased to say that the day raised in excess of $5k, so again our thanks. On a personal basis, I would like to thank both Andrew & John for putting up with my wayward golf!”
You’ll note we are all smiling in the photo… we had not teed off yet… enough said!
