Pictograms are used as a universal language that are used as a quick visual cue to communicate – in computer usage they are usually called icons. They are an ideogram that conveys its meaning through its pictorial resemblance to a physical object. They are everywhere but they are not new. Early cave drawings were not really pictograms, however, the hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt were to some extent. Look around – you’ll see them everywhere. We use them all the time. We’d like to present to you some of the more creative ‘convenience’ examples that we’ve come across recently. Enjoy.
